What the Dragons' Den didn't know about Holy Crap cereal - and you need to know!

"New independent third party lab analysis through The University of Manitoba confirms that Holy Crap cereal and Skinny B cereal are nutritional home runs." says co-founder and Hapi Foods Group CEO Corin Mullins. She added, "We're thrilled, we've always understood and known the health benefits of our cereals' ingredients but we weren't able to put this key information on our packaging until our actual Dragons' Blend and Skinny B blends were analyzed.

Now that we have the analysis we can share this important information with everyone." The recent study shows: That a 1 oz. serving ( 28 gm) of Skinny B contains 7 grams of Protein, 3 grams of Omega 3, 20% of Daily Fibre and 15% of Daily Iron with 0% Trans Fat and 0% Sodium.

Skinny B has less 1 gram of naturally occurring sugars and Holy Crap has 4 grams of naturally occurring sugars from the organic apple, cranberry and raisin blend.

Holy Crap and Skinny B cereals received international attention at the Granville Island Market in Vancouver during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. Corin and Brian soon noticed customers from all over the world that bought the cereal at the Market were re-ordering the cereal from their website.

They now ship to over 11 countries and are in the process of licensing distribution to the EU. On November 17, 2010, Corin and Brian Mullins pitched Holy Crap cereal products on CBC’s Dragon’s Den. Moments after their show aired an incredible 4,000 orders were placed on the company website and swelled to more than 10,000 orders in just a few days!

Boston Pizza's Jim Treliving's instant offer of “anything they want,” and his glowing endorsement of Holy Crap cereal propelled the company's business to over a $1 million in sales almost overnight.

By mutual agreement the Dragons’ Den offer did not turn into a deal as Corin was committed to keeping the company and manufacturing facility on the Sunshine Coast to benefit the community and establish local food security.

Corin has instituted a revenue sharing plan, a comprehensive health care plan and ongoing training programs for employees on everything from forklifts to computer systems to health and safety and human relations in record time.

Corin has been nominated for Chatelaine Entrepreneur of the year as well as her recently winning Small Business BC's Best New Business Concept from the CGAs of BC.
